What is a division in Key Club?
Division: Each district is divided into territories called divisions, often coextensive with the boundaries of the Kiwanis division. Each division has a lieutenant governor who carries out the district’s policies within his/her respective division, and provides support to the clubs.
What is a Key Club DCM?
A Division Council Meeting, or DCM, is scheduled by your Lieutenant Governor four times a year. These meetings are open to all Key Club members and advisors. Typically, the meetings will move around the Division so that all clubs will be able to participate and no one needs to drive a great distance all the time.
Why is it called Key Club?
It would resemble Kiwanis, have its own classifications based on school interests and hold luncheon meetings. The club was comprised of the key boys in the school, willing to serve the school in any way possible and to create better school spirit. Thus, the club was dubbed Key Club.
