The CSCS test. The test consists of 12 behavioural case study questions and 38 knowledge based questions on health, safety and environmental issues. To successfully pass the mock test 47 out of 50 questions must be answered correctly within the allowed time of 45 minutes (as it is for the real test).

What questions do you get asked on a CSCS test?

The CSCS exam will contain questions from five key sections containing 16 categories in total, which you will need to have knowledge of:

  • Section A: Working environment.
  • Section B: Occupational health.
  • Section C: Safety.
  • Section D: High risk activities.
  • Section E: Specialist activities.

Are CSCS cards being phased out?

“Industry Accreditation” is being phased out This process was closed to new applicants in 2010, but those already holding cards were able to renew. Industry accredited CSCS cards can be renewed until 30th June 2024, but all cards renewed under the system will expire on 31st December 2024.

What does operative CSCS cover?

It allows workers to perform tasks on sites at entry-level positions and is valid for 5 years. If you are working in any type of labouring environment, employed in the physical construction and/or destruction of a building setting and infrastructure, you can apply for the green CSCS Card.

How many times can you take the CSCS test?

If you are not successful first time around, don’t worry; we can book you another test once 24 hours have passed. You cannot sit a another test within 48 hours of your initial test time.

What is the best CSCS card for me?

  • Labourer – Green CSCS Card. The green CSCS card is a basics site skills card, suited for a general labourer.
  • Apprentice – Pink. An apprentice CSCS card is for candidates who are undergoing an apprenticeship scheme.
  • Skilled Worker – Blue.
  • Supervisor – Gold.
  • Manager – Black.
  • Visitor – Yellow.

How long is the CSCs test for operatives?

The real CSCS operatives test consists of 50 multiple choice questions which you must complete in 45 minutes. There will be no time limit for this full CSCS practice test so you can take your time and go through each question after you’ve submitted your answers.
