What are Caltracs used for?
CalTracs were designed for high performance drag racing. Running your vehicle on the street may produce a rattle. If this bothers you, before preload adjustments, install a piece of 3/4 inch heater hose fit to the length of the roll pin. This will cushion it against the bar to help reduce rattle.
Do traction bars really help?
Believe it or not, traction bars can actually improve the braking ability of a truck. While acceleration without traction bars forces the pinion angle upward, heavy braking causes the opposite to occur (the pinion angle is forced downward). Traction bars keep the pinion angle the same no matter the circumstance.

Are Caltracs street legal?
The standard tramp rods do next too nothing, im talking about the ones that u-bolt around the spring, they work well but they are illegal and don’t last long, afaik caltracs are street legal.
