Which Gossamer is best?

Gossamer Gear’s other backpacks, the Minimalist, and the Vagabonds are primarily daypacks good for day hikes, summit ascents, and urban use. If you’re looking for an overnight or multi-day backpack, the Mariposa 60 and Gorilla 50 are your best bets.

Is gossamer gear good?

The Gossamer Gear Gorilla is an excellent ultralight backpack. It’s not the most lightweight model tested, but it handles light to medium loads (up to 30 pounds) with ease and comfort.

The Mariposa is made using Robic nylon. Robic nylon is ultralight, yet has a high tensile strength and is relatively abrasion resistant. Aside from the front mesh pocket, the rest of the Gossamer Gear Mariposa is made from a durable and water-resistant (but not waterproof) Robic nylon.
