Texas BPA. competitive_events. Competitive Events. The Workplace Skills Assessment Program (WSAP) is an integral part of Business Professionals of America. The goal of the program is to provide all business students with the opportunity to demonstrate workplace skills learned through business education curricula.
Does BPA have a competition?
There are no regional or state competitions to qualify. The purpose of the national virtual events is to support BPA students who want to compete in a national event but are limited in travel due to budget cuts or limited support from their home school.
Which is BPA competition?
New for 2020-2021 is the BPA Entrepreneurship Virtual Business Challenge, Knowledge Matters’ most elaborate, and most anticipated, business simulation ever. Students learn the fundamentals of entrepreneurship via an engaging, fun, visually graphic simulation as they strive to build their entrepreneurial empires.
What are the four categories of competitive events in BPA?
Leadership conferences
- Regional Leadership Conference (RLC) or District Leadership Conference (DLC)

- National Leadership Conference (NLC)
How do you join the BPA?
To access the online application visit https://register.bpa.org/ and click on “Complete Application” under “Join the National Virtual Chapter.” The 2020-21 membership year will officially begin on September 01, 2020.
What do you do in BPA?
It is BPA’s showcase program and facilitates students demonstrating their career skills at regional, state and national conferences in more than 90 competitive events. Some of BPA’s other major programs include the National Leadership Academy, Officer Elections and scholarships.

What are the harmful effects of BPA?
Exposure to BPA is a concern because of the possible health effects on the brain and prostate gland of fetuses, infants and children. It can also affect children’s behavior. Additional research suggests a possible link between BPA and increased blood pressure, type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

Does BPA free mean safe?
While stickers are showing up declaring certain products “BPA Free,” that doesn’t mean they’re necessarily safe. (The FDA banned BPA in baby bottles.) It’s been found in indoor dust samples and is beginning to show up in human urine, and it has been reported to be less biodegradable than BPA.
