Does cure it top coat need hardener?
Hardener is required for both the Resin and Topcoat. Always measure the hardener from a safety dispenser. Use suitable protective goggles and gloves when handling the hardener.

How do you mix GRP roof resin?
Stir the resin, use the catalyst dispenser to the right amount, add into the bucket and stir well. As the curing process takes place a colour change to the resin will take place as it slowly starts to cure. The resin will thicken and start to lump until it quickly cures.
Is GRP top coat waterproof?

Ideally, the resin should be mixed in batches of 2kg at a time with 2% (40ml) catalyst. At room temperature, this will give a working time of 20 minutes before the resin starts to cure/harden.

Ideally, it is best to aim for a curing time of between 20 to 30 minutes. Never use less than 1% or more than 4% catalyst. Never underestimate the effect of temperature. Resins will not cure at or below freezing and will always cure much quicker in direct sunlight.
Can you fibreglass in the rain?
Water will contaminate the resin and prevent it from curing. If it rains at any point after the resins or topcoats have started to change from a liquid to a solid, although not ideal, it should be OK. Any rain falling will settle on top and not mix so the resins should still complete their cure.

Three days of pond curing does the work of seven days of moist curing, and without daily attention—just be sure the water level remains above the concrete slab. If it drops, you’ll need to refill a little. This technique isn’t for everyone, though, because it takes quite a bit of soil to form berms around a big concrete slab.
